  • Selection Process for UP Police SI Recruitment 2025

    The selection process comprises multiple stages to assess candidates’ knowledge, physical fitness, and eligibility:

    1. Written Examination:
      • Type: Objective-type, OMR-based exam
      • Total Marks: 400 (160 questions, 2.5 marks each)
      • Duration: 2 hours
      • Sections:
        • General Hindi: 40 questions, 100 marks
        • Basic Law/Constitution/General Knowledge: 40 questions, 100 marks
        • Numerical & Mental Ability: 40 questions, 100 marks
        • Mental Aptitude/IQ/Reasoning: 40 questions, 100 marks
      • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 35% in each section and 50% overall
      • Negative Marking: None
      • Tentative Exam Date: To be announced
    2. Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST):
      • Verification of educational, category, and identity documents.
      • Physical standards:
        • Male (General/OBC/SC): Height 168 cm, Chest 79–84 cm (5 cm expansion)
        • Male (ST): Height 160 cm, Chest 77–82 cm
        • Female (General/OBC/SC): Height 152 cm, Minimum Weight 40 kg
        • Female (ST): Height 147 cm, Minimum Weight 40 kg
    3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
      • Male: 4.8 km run in 28 minutes
      • Female: 2.4 km run in 16 minutes
    4. Medical Examination: Tests physical and mental fitness.
    5. Character Verification: Background check for final selection.

    The final merit list is based on the written exam performance, with PST/PET being qualifying stages.
