Selection Method

• The IB ACIO Grade-II / Executive Recruitment 2025 selection process is rigorous, designed to identify candidates with the aptitude and skills required for intelligence work. It comprises three stages:

  1. Tier-I Examination (Objective):
     • Format: Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
     • Duration: 60 minutes
     • Total Marks: 100 (1 mark per question)
     • Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each incorrect answer
     • Sections:
       • General Awareness
       • Quantitative Aptitude
       • Logical/Analytical/Numerical Ability & Reasoning
       • English Language
       • General Studies
     • Candidates must score the minimum cutoff marks to qualify for Tier-II.
  2. Tier-II Examination (Descriptive):
     • Format: Descriptive paper focusing on essay writing, comprehension, and précis writing
     • Total Marks: 50 (30 for essay, 20 for comprehension/précis)
     • Duration: 60 minutes
     • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 33% to proceed to the interview
     • Tests candidates’ ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  3. Tier-III (Interview):
     • Total Marks: 100
     • Format: Personal interview, potentially including a Psychometric/Aptitude Test
     • Assesses candidates’ personality, intelligence, and suitability for intelligence work.

  Final Selection: Based on combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III, followed by document verification and medical examination. The merit list is prepared using normalized marks for Tier-I and Tier-II, ensuring fairness across exam shifts.

  The IB ACIO Recruitment 2025 application process is entirely online, streamlining the process for candidates across India. Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in and navigate to the “Recruitment” or “Career” section.
  2. Find the Notification: Locate the IB ACIO Recruitment 2025 link under Advertisement No. to be confirmed (available from July 19, 2025).
  3. Register: Click on the “Apply Online” link and complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) by providing your name, email ID, and mobile number. A Registration ID and Password will be sent to your registered email.
  4. Fill the Application Form: Log in with your credentials and enter personal, educational, and professional details accurately.
  5. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of:
     • Passport-size photograph (35mm x 45mm, not older than 12 weeks, 50-100 KB, JPG/JPEG format)
     • Signature (on white paper with black ink, 50-100 KB, JPG/JPEG format)

  6. Pay the Application Fee:
     • General/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹550 (₹100 examination fee + ₹450 recruitment processing fee)
