UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process for UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025 is a two-stage procedure designed to assess candidates’ knowledge, skills, and suitability for the roles:
Phase 1: Recruitment Test (RT)
Format: A 2-hour offline exam consisting of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 300 marks (2.5 marks per question).
Syllabus: Includes General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, and subject-specific topics related to social security, labour laws, and accounting principles.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark (approximately 0.83 marks) deducted for each wrong answer.
Medium: Questions are in English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.
Weightage: The Recruitment Test carries 75% weightage in the final selection.
Minimum Qualifying Marks (category-wise):
General: 50% (150 marks)
OBC: 45% (135 marks)
SC/ST/PwBD: 40% (120 marks)
Phase 2: Interview
Format: A 100-mark personal interview to assess candidates’ communication skills, personality, and knowledge of EPFO’s functions.

Weightage: The interview carries 25% weightage in the final selection.

Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO) : Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university. Desirable qualifications include a Diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws, or Public Administration.
Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) : A Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates with degrees in Law, Management, or related fields may have an advantage, but it is not compulsory.
