Selection Method

• OREDA Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

  The selection process for OREDA Recruitment 2025 is structured to ensure the selection of qualified and competent candidates. The process varies slightly for Technicians and Junior Assistants:

  • Technician:
    • Computer Based Test (CBT): A 100-mark test comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering:
      • Technical knowledge (related to Electrician/Mechanic/IT & ESM trades)
      • General Knowledge (30%)
      • Mathematics & Reasoning (30%)
    • Skill Test: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for document verification and a skill test. The skill test assesses practical knowledge relevant to the Technician role.
    • The final merit list will be based on performance in the CBT and Skill Test.
  • Junior Assistant:
    • Computer Based Test (CBT): A 100-mark test comprising MCQs covering:
      • English (20%)
      • Odia (20%)
      • General Knowledge (30%)
      • Mathematics & Reasoning (30%)
    • Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for document verification.
    • The final merit list will be based solely on CBT performance.

  The CBT will be conducted in various cities across Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, Balasore, Sambalpur, and Jeypore. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for the CBT, as it is a critical component of the selection process.

Qualification

• Technician : HSC or equivalent Certificate and a pass certificate of National Council of Vocational Training) from the ITI institutes in respect of Electrician/ Mechanic/IT & ESM
• Junior Assistant : Graduates with at least 50% mark in aggregate in any discipline from a recognized University in the state + Candidates must have PGDCA or equivalent certificate from any institution recognized by Govt. of Odisha + Degree in Commerce/ Accountancy shall be given preference
