Selection Method

• Selection Process for OREDA Recruitment 2025

  The selection process for the Assistant Director (Technical) post is designed to evaluate candidates’ technical knowledge, aptitude, and suitability for the role. It consists of the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT):
     • A 100-mark test comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering:
       • Technical Knowledge (50%): Questions related to the candidate’s engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Production, Industrial, Electronics, or Instrumentation) and renewable energy technologies.
       • General Knowledge (20%): Current affairs, Indian polity, history, and geography.
       • Mathematics & Reasoning (20%): Quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and data interpretation.
       • English & Odia (10%): Language proficiency, comprehension, and grammar.
     • The CBT will be of 2 hours duration with no negative marking.
     • The exam will be conducted in major cities across Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, Balasore, Sambalpur, and Jeypore.
  2. Document Verification:
     • Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio (based on merit) for document verification.
     • Candidates must produce original documents, including educational certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
  3. Medical Fitness Test:
     • Shortlisted candidates must undergo a medical fitness test to ensure they are physically fit for the role.
     • Offer letters will be issued only to candidates who are found medically fit.

  The final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the CBT, subject to successful document verification and medical fitness.

Qualification

• BE/B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Agricultural Engineering / Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate
• Candidates having Degree / PG Diploma in Renewal Energy Technologies from reputed organisations will be given preference.
