A typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer is required, which corresponds to 10,500 key depressions per hour (KDPH) for English and 9,000 KDPH for Hindi.
Junior Stenographer : Candidates must have passed 10+2/XII + possess proficiency in stenography as per DoPT norms. This typically includes a shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. in English or Hindi, along with computer proficiency.
