The SSC CHSL selection process consists of three tiers:

• Tier-I: Computer Based Test (CBT) of 200 marks with 100 questions. It will test General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.
• Tier-II: Descriptive Paper of 100 marks. It will assess the candidate's writing skills and ability to express themselves clearly.
• Tier-III (Skill Test): This is only applicable for the Data Entry Operator (DEO) post. It will assess the candidate's typing speed and accuracy.

• Login using your registration credentials
• Fill out the online application form carefully, providing all the necessary details.
• Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and educational certificates as per the specified format and size.
• Pay the application fee online.
• Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

A detailed breakdown of the exam pattern for each tier, including the number of questions, marks per question, and time duration, will be provided in the official notification.

The official notification will also specify the syllabus for each subject tested in the exam. Generally, the syllabus includes the following:

• General Intelligence & Reasoning: This section will test your analytical and problem-solving skills. It may include questions on analogies, classifications, series completion, coding-decoding, syllogisms, etc.
• General Awareness: This section will assess your knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, science, polity, economics, and other general knowledge topics.
• Quantitative Aptitude: This section will test your basic mathematical skills, including arithmetic calculations, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics, etc.
• English Language: This section will assess your proficiency in English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
