Eligibility Criteria: Education
- Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer (EO/AO): Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university. Desirable qualifications include a Diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws, or Public Administration.
- Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC): A Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university is mandatory. Candidates with degrees in Law, Management, or related fields may have an advantage, but it is not compulsory.

The selection process for UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025 is a two-stage procedure designed to assess candidates’ knowledge, skills, and suitability for the roles:
Phase 1: Recruitment Test (RT)
- Format: A 2-hour offline exam consisting of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 300 marks (2.5 marks per question).
- Syllabus: Includes General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, and subject-specific topics related to social security, labour laws, and accounting principles.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark (approximately 0.83 marks) deducted for each wrong answer.
- Medium: Questions are in English and Hindi, except for the English Language section.
- Weightage: The Recruitment Test carries 75% weightage in the final selection.
Minimum Qualifying Marks (category-wise):
- General: 50% (150 marks)
